STARLINK RV POWER

DON'T LET STARLINK QUIETLY EAT YOUR BATTERY.

Starlink can be one of the larger continuous loads in an off-grid RV. Calculate what it adds to your daily energy use, or make everyday use simpler with a dedicated three-button power control.

WHAT DOES STARLINK COST YOUR BATTERY?

Runtime matters as much as wattage. These ranges are useful planning numbers before adding inverter and wiring losses.

Starlink Standard75–100W averageA substantial continuous load on a smaller RV battery bank.
Starlink Mini25–40W averageEasier on a small battery bank and useful for compact systems.
4 hours · Standard300–400WhRoughly 23–31Ah from a 12.8V lithium battery before losses.
24 hours · Standard1,800–2,400WhRoughly 141–188Ah before losses, which is why runtime control matters.
Put Starlink into the whole RV energy budget.

The calculator adds Starlink to the fridge, furnace, lights, TV and your other loads, then estimates battery and charging needs.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Why a dedicated wall control instead of just using the Starlink app?

The point is convenience and predictable runtime. The control is always in the RV, gives an immediate physical OFF, and the four-hour mode can shut power off even if you forget about it.

Does the four-hour button work with every Starlink installation?

The idea can be adapted to many installations, but the exact hardware depends on the Starlink model and whether the system is powered from AC, direct DC or another power supply.

Can Heeler install it without changing my whole electrical system?

Often, yes. The existing Starlink power path and RV wiring need to be checked first so the switching and protection are appropriate.
